We're so glad you've clicked on this page because we want to get to know more people in the Upstate SC area and farther afield who want to be part of working on our faith-based films!

Here are some frequently asked questions about auditioning:

1. I've never acted before. Can I audition?
Absolutely! Many of us are novices, and we all have to start somewhere. Why not here, making films that are family-friendly, feel-good movies?

2. What should I wear?
If you want to, you can wear clothing that is indicative of the part you're auditioning for. But we don't expect that. We want you to be comfortable, whether that means jeans and a t-shirt, a dress, business attire, or you've just come from work or school to the audition. Your comfort is important to us.

3. Do I have to memorize lines for the audition?
No, you don't. Very often, a first audition is held when the script is still in the editing stage, and lines may change. We consider this a "cold read", so you may bring your own copy of the lines we've sent you, or we will have a copy.

4. Do I just read the lines alone Or does someone read with me?
One of our casting staff will read other lines, and you'll just be responding.

5. Do you videotape the audition?
Yes, we do, so that we can refer back to it later.

6. So what's an audition like? What's the process?
You'll be in a room with the Casting Director and staff, and a videographer. We'll let you know where to stand (there may be an X on the floor, or a box to stand inside), and the first thing you'll give us is your slate. The slate consists of your name, age (just say under 18 or over 18), where you live, the role you're auditioning for, and a fun fact about you. That last part is just so we get to know you a little better. Then we'll start reading lines.

7. What if I can't come in person?
If you live too far away, or have other plans scheduled the day(s) of the audition, we welcome your video audition. Just have someone else read with you, and send us the video. Don't forget to do your slate at the beginning!

8. OK, I've auditioned. When will you let me know if I got the part?
Some of this depends upon our scheduling for filming, so it could be a couple days, or it could be 1-2 weeks. We try to keep it under 1 week.

9. Will you let me know if I didn't get the part?
Yes, we always contact those who auditioned, whether they get the part or not.

10. I'm under 18. Can I still audition?
Yes, you can! But all communication with us should be done by your parent or guardian, and they will have to give their permission for you to be involved.

11. Will I be paid for my acting, if I get a part?
Generally speaking, no. We are a nonprofit club on a micro-budget. We do, however, want to help you beef up your resumé with some great experience! Every now and then we may contract with a well-known actor, who would be paid. But our local actors are not.
